Pay Your Way
Your PB&T Debit Card is compatible with Apple Pay, Google Pay, and Samsung Pay as an easy and secure way to pay at participating merchants.
When you add your PB&T Debit Card to any of the options listed above, the actual card numbers are not stored on the access device, such as cell phone or smart watch. Instead, a unique Device Account Number is assigned, encrypted and securely stored in the Secure Element on your device. Each transaction is authorized with a one-time unique security code, instead of using the security code from the back of your card. So your PB&T Debit Card number is never shared by Apple, Google or Samsung with merchants or transmitted with the payment keeping your information secure and your funds safe.
Lost / Stolen Debit Cards
If your card is lost or stolen you can now disable your debit card through the online banking portal. This will restrict your transactions until you find the card or can call the bank to close the debit card as stolen.
After logging in to your Online Banking on a desktop you’ll select the Cards option on the left menu. From there it will show all active debit cards in your name. Select the menu option on the card you’d like to close and select Disable Card.
For a new or replacement Debit Card, visit your nearest branch or call Customer Service at (719)545-1834
Please Note: The Card Service Center phone number is 800-472-3272 and can always be of assistance outside of normal bank hours to assist in restricting lost/stolen debit cards.
Unauthorized Debit Card Transactions
Reviewing account statements regularly helps identify any unauthorized transactions and helps to keep your account safe. If you identify a transaction that you need additional information on to determine if it’s unauthorized there is typically a contact number in the transaction description. Merchants can typically resolve errors within a few days when a debit card dispute with the bank can take up to 90 days to resolve. If you reach out to the merchant keep track of the date you contacted them, who you speak with and the resolution response they give you.
If contacting the merchant produces no resolution please visit your nearest branch or call our Dispute Contact Center at 866-316-2131.
Please Note: If you need additional information on any transactions the bank can research further for you. Please call Customer Service at (719)545-1834
Transaction Monitoring
Transactions are monitored in real time by our Card Member Services department. They are monitored for suspicious or out of the norm activity and researched for known fraud trends. Please know a transaction that is identified as either suspicious or flagged as a known fraud may be denied and you will be contacted by the Card Services department by phone call or text message to verify the transaction in question.
If you receive a notification please take a moment to follow the prompts and respond with whether the transaction is fraudulent.
Please note: When verifying transactions our representatives will never ask you for personal information such as your full social security number, PIN number, CVV2 code or your Account Number. The verification call will only request information on the transaction(s) in question.
Travel Notifications
We continually monitor transactions and monitor known fraud trends throughout other regions.
If you have additional questions please visit your local branch or call Customer Service at (719)545-1834
Please Note: Notifying PB&T of your travel assists with fraud monitoring and reduces the chance of restrictions being put in place during your trip – it does not guarantee that a block will not take place. If our monitoring department identifies known trends we will continue to request further verification of transactions.
